Awards Issued Prior to January 20, 2025, Were Funded Under Previous Administrations and May Not Reflect the Priorities and Policies of the Current Administration. Feeding Florida, Inc. (FF), the State Affiliate of Feeding America, Is Requesting Support for the Healthier Together Produce Prescription Program (HTFVRX) to Improve Health Outcomes for Food Insecure Floridians by Expanding Access to Fresh Fruits and Vegetables at Food Bank Sites, FB Mobile Distributions, and Home Delivery in Two Florida Regions. Specific Objectives Will Include Fortifying the Food Bank (FB) Healthy Food Prescription Program Impact Through Technical Assistance With Sourcing, Logistics and Funding for Fresh Produce. This Initiative Will Expand Access Points to Fresh Produce With Fruit and Vegetable Vouchers, Strengthen Digital and in Person Nutrition Education Opportunities and Establish Collaborative Program Milestones Across a Spectrum of Healthcare Providers and Food Access Stakeholders in Two Florida Regions. Htfvrx Will Create a Replicable Model Design for FB Fruit and Vegetable Prescriptions (FVRX), Which Will Significantly Increase the Realization of Future Programs.
