Community Action for Improvement (cafi)'s Mission Is to Enhance the Quality of Life of Individuals and Families by Providing Services and Resources That Will Facilitate the Building of Self-esteem and Self-sufficiency Through the Active Involvement of the Total Community. the Proposed Vista Project Aligns With the CNCS Economic Opportunity Focus Area. Cafi's Vista Project Will Seek to Use Americorps Vista Members to Build Capacity to Address Poverty and Access to Resources. Cafi's Project Will Benefit the Area's Vulnerable, Low-income, Rural Populations Including People Experiencing Homelessness, Economically Disadvantaged Individuals, Veterans, Youth, and Families, Enabling Cafi to Serve an Estimated 5,000 Beneficiaries. Three Vista Members Will Contribute to the Goals of the Project by Performing Activities Such as Helping to Recruit and Manage Volunteers, Conducting Outreach Activities and Forging New Partnerships With Other Organizations and Businesses, and Building Cafi's Capacity to Raise Funds From Diverse Sources. the Project Period Will Last for One Service Year.
