An Estimated 350 Unduplicated RSVP Volunteers Will Serve Through the Planned Activities of This Application. of This Number, 55 RSVP Volunteers Will Be Placed in Outcome Assignments. Some of RSVP Volunteer Activities Will Include Providing Medical Transportation, Respite Care, and Companionship to the Area's Frail Senior Population. They Will Also Assist Older Adults Obtain the Access to the Care They Need by Educating Individuals on Medicare, Medigap and Medication Plan Options That Are Available. in Addition, the Community at Large Is Served as RSVP Volunteers Will Provide Food to the Hungry and Serve in Various Locations Such as Their Local Police Departments, Retirement Communities, and Libraries. These Activities Will Occur at 40 Different Locations, Such as the Call-a-ride Medical Transportation Program, Medford Food Project, the Teresa Mccormick Center, the Medford Police Department, and the S.h.i.b.a. (senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance) Program. the Primary Focus Area of This Project Is Healthy Futures. at the End of the Three Year Grant, RSVP Volunteers Will Serve an Estimated 673 Individuals Within the Healthy Futures Focus Area. the CNCS Federal Investment of $53,700 Will Be Supplemented by $158,751.
