Community Volunteer Network

In the Third Year of This Grant, an Estimated 62 Foster Grandparent Volunteers Will Serve 310 Youth Through a Variety of Activities; All Service Will Occur in the Focus Area of Education. the Volunteers' Activities Will Be Measured With the Expectation That the Youth Will Show Improved Academic Engagement or Social and Emotional Skills, or Gains in School Readiness. the Youth of Jackson, Josephine and Klamath Counties Will Be Served by Foster Grandparent Volunteers at Approximately 43 Local Organizations, Among Those Include Local Elementary and Charter Schools, Head Start Centers, and Early Learning Centers. Additionally Local Branches of the Library Systems, the Ymca, the Family Nurturing Center, Hearts With a Mission Homeless Shelter and Ontrack's Home Program, Will Be Served by Foster Grandparent Volunteers. the CNCS Federal Investment of $333,165 Will Be Supplemented by $96,614 in Cash and In-kind Support.
