An Estimated 25 SCP Volunteers Will Serve. of This Number, 25 Senior Companions Will Be Placed in Outcome Assignments. Some of Their Activities Will Include Playing Cards, Providing Companionship Support, Providing Transportation to a Nearby Senior Center or Errand Running. the Primary Focus of This Project Is Healthy Futures. at the End of the Three-year Grant, This Program Will Provide Companionship Services to 50 Home Bound Older Adults and Individuals With Disabilities to Increase Social Support and Improve Capacity for Independent Living. the CNCS Federal Investment of $86,371 Will Be Supplemented by $84,734 From the State of Michigan Aging and Adult Services Agency, and Local Support From Volunteer Stations.
