Teach for America Proposes to Have 3,700 Americorps Members Who Will Teach for at Least Two Years in Low-income and Underserved Schools in 51 Urban and Rural Regions in 36 States and Washington, D.C. at the End of the First Program Year, the Americorps Members Will Be Responsible for Academic Achievement of the Over 200,000 Students That They Teach. in Addition, the Americorps Members Will Leverage 9,000 Volunteers Who Will Be Engaged in Supporting Students in Classrooms and Schools. This Program Will Focus on the CNCS Focus Area of Education. the CNCS Investment of $3,700,000 Will Be Matched With $100,678,012, $13,577,409 in Public Funding and $87,100,603 in Private Funding.
