Executive Summary the Butte School District #1 Is the Proud Sponsor of the Butte RSVP Program. the Butte School District #1 Will Continue to Offer Opportunities for an Estimated 240 RSVP Volunteers. These Volunteers Will Assist in Continuing to Make Butte, Montana the "richest Hill on Earth". Our RSVP Volunteers Will Service Our Community by Participating in the Following Service Activities: K-12 Educational Success: Our Volunteers Will Tutor and Mentor Students Who Are Not at Appropriate Grade Levels for Math and Reading. Identified Students Will Work With Our Volunteers in Classrooms to Improve Their Academic Progress. Outcomes Will Be Measured With the Tools Currently Available in Schools. These Tools Are Isip Progress Monitoring (reading), Diebels Progress Monitoring (reading) and Maps (MATH) as Well as the Yearly Summative Assessment for the State for Reading and Math Called "smarter Balance". We Will Also Track Attendance Outcomes With the Schools With RSVP Volunteers. K-12 Educational Success Will Be Our Primary Focus Area of This Project. Healthy Futures: Our Volunteers Will Serve in the Area of Supporting and Assisting Our Community Emergency Food Bank. These Volunteers Will Be Assisting With Food Distribution, Food Collection and Food Pantry Support in the Warehouse. Outcomes Will Be Measured by the Number of Individuals That Report Increased Food Security Because of These Services of the Butte Emergency Food Bank. Healthy Futures: Our Volunteers Will Work With Seniors Who Are Identified as "at Risk" Due to Lack of Supportive Services. Volunteers Will Provide the Needed Services for the Identified Seniors Through Food Delivery and Other Support Services. Economic Opportunity: Our Volunteers Assist the Vita (volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program) and Providing Help to Individuals Who Need Assistance in Preparing Their Own Tax Returns. These Volunteers Also Provide Education and Information on Tax Laws. This Service Allows Individuals to Recoup Monies That They Might Not Have Done on Their Own. Our Butte RSVP Program Will Also Collaborate With a Diverse Group of Agencies and Organizations Throughout the Community Based on the Needs and Priorities of the Butte Silver Bow County. They Include Such Non-profit Agencies Such as ST. James Healthcare, Our Lady of the Rockies Foundation, , Butte Chamber of Commerce, Butte Silver Bow Archives, Action Inc., the World Museum of Mining and All Other Appropriate Partners. Our Goal for This Grant Cycle Is to Continue to Develop a Variety of Opportunities for Community Service in Which Individuals May Share Their Experiences, Abilities, and Skills for the Betterment of Their Community and Themselves. Butte RSVP Will Ensure That Volunteer Assignments Are Consistent With the Interests and Abilities of the Volunteer and the Needs of the Community Served. the CNCS Federal Investment of $81,693.00 Along With Our Non-federal Match of 30% Will Support Our Dedicated and Motivated Volunteers in Butte, Montana.
