A. Executive Summary: Oneoc Is Building on 38 Years of Successfully Managing the RSVP Program for Orange County, Ca (service Area CA-15) by Adding New and Expanded Strategies to Better Meet the Core Needs of Our Community in Alignment With CNCS Focus Areas for the 2018 Grant Term. a Total of 112 RSVP Volunteers Will Serve in the Following Focus Areas: Education (66 Volunteers in K-12 School Readiness), Healthy Futures (26 Volunteers in Aging in Place and 10 Volunteers in Obesity and Food) and Economic Opportunity (10 Volunteers in Employment). All 112 RSVP Volunteers Will Be in Outcome-based Assignments. Education Volunteers Will Mentor 198 Students Resulting in Increased Academic Engagement Through Improved Literacy. Healthy Future Volunteers Will Deliver Meals to 200 Homebound Seniors and Disabled Individuals Resulting in Increased Social Support and Will Provide Services to 200 Individuals and Families With Children Resulting in Increased Food Security for the Most Vulnerable, Especially Those Living Below the Federal Poverty Level. Lastly, Volunteers Serving in Areas Focused on Economic Opportunity Will Provide Skills-based Training and Other Services to Aid 100 Economically Disadvantaged Individuals in Finding Jobs. the CNCS Federal Investment of $111,536 Will Be Supplemented by $47,397 From Oneoc Match.
