An Estimated 21 Federal Vsy Plus 6 Nonfederal Vsy Foster Grandparent Volunteers Will Serve. of This Number 21 Federal Vsy Plus 6 Federal Vsy Foster Grandparents Be Placed in Outcome Assignments. Some of Their Activities Will Include: Assisting in the Classroom Tutoring At-risk, Special Needs Students on a One-to-one Basis to Improve Academic Performance in Literacy And/or Math or School Readiness in Terms of Social And/or Emotional Development. Some of the Activities Include Reading With a Child, Listening to a Child Read and Literacy And/or Math Activities. the Primary Focus Area of the Missoula Foster Grandparents Service Activities Is Education. at the End of the Three-year Grant: 80% of the 144 Students Served by Foster Grandparents Under the Performance Measures Will Improve Academic Performance in Literacy And/or Math School Readiness in Terms of Social And/or Emotional Development. the CNCS Federal Investment of $126,438 Will Be Supplemented by $73,022 in Local Grants, Cash and In-kind Donations.
