Rocky Mountain Development Council, Inc. (RMDC) Is a Non-profit 501(C)(3) Human Resource Development Council. RMDC Has Been Working in South-central Montana Since 1965 and Are Part of a Network of Ten Such Organizations in Montana and 1,000 Community Action Agencies Around the Nation. Rmdc?s Mission Is to Strive to Improve Quality of Life and Promote Self-sufficiency for Individuals and Families. an Estimated 60 Vsy SCP Volunteers Will Serve. of This Number, 60 Vsy Will Be Placed in National Performance Measure Outcome Assignments. the Senior Companion Program Supports 10 Southwest Counties With 60 Vsy Serving at 17 Sites Addressing Independent Living. Some of Their Activities Will Include Transportation, Companionship, Preventing Elder Abuse and Educating Clients on the National Opioid Epidemic. the Primary Focus Area of This Project Is Healthy Futures. at the End of the Three-year Grant, 85% of the 250 Homebound, or Older Adults and Individuals With Disabilities Served by Senior Companions Will Report Having Increased Social Ties/perceived Support as Demonstrated by the Senior Companion Program Independent Living Performance Measure Survey That Is Completed on an Annual Basis. the CNCS Federal Investment of $360,000 Will Be Supplemented of at Least $40,000 of Non-federal Resources.
