Impact Lynn Is a Collective Impact Forum Comprised of Multiple Organizations Across Multiple Sectors in Lynn, Massachusetts Who Have Come Together to Create Meaningful Actions Toward the Same Measurable Goals for Increased Income and Education Levels, and Increased, Diversified Civic Engagement in the City. With a Deliberate Overlap of Goals for More Comprehensive Impact, the Impact Lynn Project Aligns With Economic Opportunity, Education, and Healthy Futures Aspects of CNCS. We Envision a City Where Every Resident Can Be Gainfully Employed, Educated and Engage in the Community. While Overarching Goals for Higher Income and Education Levels Are Long Term, Our Short-term Plans Are Already Being Realized. Currently, the Housing Committee Has Focused on the Development of Two Neighborhoods in Lynn. in Sagamore Hill, the Project Includes the Construction of a 71-UNIT Multiple Purpose Development Made of Mix-income Units and Commercial Space and a Second 27-UNIT Building. the Second Area of Focus Is the Oakville/minot Neighborhood Which Has Been Rebranded as Orchard Grove Neighborhood and Supported by the Construction of Four Single-family Homes in Phase One and Four Additional Homes in Phase Two. Impact Lynn Early Education Committee Has Made Strides in Its Partnership With United Way and Their Drive Initiative Utilizing the Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) to Screen Young Children to Identify Those With Developmental Needs and Provide Referrals and Support to the Family. the Community Engagement Group Continues to Participate in Community Outreach as Well as Community Development by Providing Their Input in Decisions at the City Level. as These Initial Teams Work and Measure Their Efforts, We Will Then a Launch Public Safety and Public Health Initiative (addressing the Opioid Addiction Crisis. We Are Seeking One Vista Positions to Help and Support a Roll Out a Multi-language Communication Campaign to Promote All Efforts of Impact Lynn and It's Committees as Well as Assist With Research and Grant Writing in Order to Generate New Sources of Revenues to Impact Lynn. a Second Vista Position Will Continue Developing and Enhancing the Current Volunteer Engagement Program, Which Was Created During the 2017-18 Term. the Two Proposed Vista Assignments Would Be Located at Lynn Economic Opportunity (volunteer/community Engagement and Communication and Development).
