An Estimated 400 Unduplicated RSVP Volunteers Will Serve. of This Number 112 RSVP Volunteers Will Be Placed in Outcome Assignments. Some of Their Activities Will Include Service to Local Food Banks, Helping Provide Food Security to the Community and Vulnerable Senior Citizens, Providing Assisted Transportation to Homebound Seniors, Providing Companionship to Isolated Senior Citizens Through Visiting and Phone Calls, Teaching Education and Health Classes to the Community, Tutoring at Risk Children in Literacy Skills at Local Schools, and Operating Cultural and Historic Museums. the Primary Focus Area of This Project Is Healthy Futures. at the End of the Three Year Grant It Is Anticipated That, 75% of the Elementary Age Students Who Received One-on-one Tutoring Will Improve Their Dibels Reading Scores by the End of Each School Year, Educational Classes Will Be Taught to 200 Community Members , 60% of the Senior Citizens Receiving Transportation Services And/or Companionship Services Will Report an Increase in Social Support and Less of a Feeling of Isolation and 60% of Individuals Receiving Food Assistance at Local Food Banks Will Report an Increase in Food Security. the CNCS Federal Investment of $90,564 Annually Will Be Supplemented by $61,223 Annual Dollars and In-kind Contributions.
