An Estimated 120 RSVP Volunteers Serving in Outcome Assignments. Activities Will Include Tutoring Using the Evidence-based Schools of Hope Program; 1:1 Mentoring With Big Brothers Big Sisters, Following Their Evidence-based Model; Working With Seniors to Prevent Falls, Using the Evidence-based a Matter of Balance Program; and Eitc Tax Assistance Through the Vita Program. the Primary Focus Area of This Project Is Education. by the End of the Three-year Grant, Nco Anticipates the Following Outcomes: 93% of Tutored Students Will Show Improved Reading Skills and 100% of Mentored Children Will Show Improved School Engagement/attendance. the CNCS Federal Investment of $300,000 Will Be Supplemented by $60,000 in Cash and In-kind Matching Contributions. Through Its Community Action Programming, North Coast Opportunities (NCO) Focuses Its Efforts on a Broad Theme of Self-empowerment and Alleviation of Poverty. Working With 100 Volunteers, the RSVP Sonoma Nco Project Utilizes Evidence-based Practices and Incorporates a Focus on Intergenerational Programming and Aging in Place.
