An Estimated 95 Volunteers Will Serve in the Foster Grandparent Program Managed by Catholic Charities West Michigan Which Services Muskegon, Lake and Newaygo Counties. the Foster Grandparent Program Volunteers Will Be Mobilized Throughout These Counties to Ensure the Highest Impact on Local Needs. the Primary Focus Area for This Project Is Education. Volunteers Will Mentor Over 500 Children a Year With Exceptional Needs Within the Program's Three County Service Area. by the Conclusion of the Three Year Grant Cycle Over 1,500 Students Will Demonstrate Increased Academic Performance and Student Engagement in Learning, Aided by Foster Grandparent Program Volunteers' Involvement and Mentoring. Volunteers Will Serve in 26 Station Locations Which Include Childcare Centers, Head Start Programs, Preschool Programs and K-12 School Districts Located Throughout the Three County Service Areas to Provide Approximately 100,000 Hours of Service Annually to Ensure Impact on Target Outcome Areas. the Three Year Commitment From the Corporation for National Community Service to Invest $342,162 Annually Will Be Augmented by Over $117,055 in State Monies and $100,000 in Local Grantee Match.
