Their One-on-one Assistance in the Classroom Will Provide a Strong Base for Improvement in These Areas. Foster Grandparent Volunteers Will Also Serve as Mentors in Other Academic and Behavioral Related Areas Including Modeling Conflict Resolution Skills, Developing a Healthy Self-image, Exhibiting Appropriate Classroom Behaviors Etc. the Goal of the Program Is to Help Students Improve Social and Emotional Development, Gain Literacy and Math Skills, Improve Student Attendance Patterns, and Improve the Academic Engagement of All Students. the Project Will Address Community Needs Such as Increased Teacher-parent Cooperation, Promoting Positive Interaction Between Different Ethnic Groups, Enhancing Community Awareness of Voluntarism and Sharing Knowledge and Benefits of Participation in Senior Corps Programs.
