The Mission of Karidat, Which Is Affiliated With Catholic Charities Usa Is to Provide Service to People in Need, to Advocate for Justice in Social Structures, and to Call the Entire Church and Other People of Good Will to Do the Same. Care's Mission Is to Build a Resilient Community and to Identify, Facilitate, and Deliver Resources and Long-term Support to Address the Unmet Needs of Individuals and Families Impacted by Disaster. the Strengthening Community Resilience Through Long-term Disaster Recovery and Sustainable Food Access Vista Project Aligns With the Economic Opportunities and Healthy Futures Vista Focus Areas. the Project Will Seek to Assess, Identify, and Acquire Resources Including Financial and In-kind for Care's Long Term Sustainability, Provide Volunteer and Program Coordination for Care, and to Develop a Sustainable Food Bank That Can Support Regular Karidat Programming as Well as Be Available for Immediate Disaster Response. the Project Will Aim to Benefit Approximately 3,000 Individuals and Families From Low-income Households, Especially Those Who Were Most Impacted by the Recent Disaster. These Three Vista Members Will Contribute to the Goals of the Project by Performing Activities Including Facilitating Partnerships, Researching and Implementing Best Practices, Acquiring Resources to Support Ongoing Programming, and Establishing Standard Operating Procedures and Documenting Accomplishments for the Long-term Sustainability of the Programs Over the Course of Two Years (april 1, 2016 to March 31, 2019), and Then Beyond Once the Vista Project Comes to Completion.
