Children's Hospital New Orleans (CHNO) Will Implement a Multi-faceted, Comprehensive Approach to Build Protective Factors and Foster Healing and Resilience for Children Exposed to Violence. the Program Has Two Key Goals: 1) Convene Collaborative Stakeholders and Build the Capacity of the New Orleans Community to Develop and Implement Prevention and Early Intervention Strategies That Support Children Exposed to Violence and Enhance Their Wellness and Healing and 2) Increase Protective Factors Through a Seamless Continuum of Care in Order to Reduce the Traumatic Impact of Exposure to Violence and Prevent Future Violence, Delinquency, and Victimization, as Informed by Ongoing Community Stakeholder Engagement. Through This Project, Thrivekids Community Network Will Expand Services and Coordination, Creating a Hub for Stakeholder Engagement and Care Delivery Across the Continuum of Care for Children in New Orleans Exposed to Violence, Serving 21,000 Children Exposed to Violence and Their Families During the Grant Period. to Improve Coordination of Care, Increase Effectiveness of Services and Overcome Barriers to Engagement and Participation, Thrivekids Community Network Will Engage Key Stakeholders and Families to Develop a Comprehensive Plan to Address Children Exposed to Violence and Its Impact on Community Safety. the Primary Beneficiaries of the Project Are Children Exposed to Violence and Those at High Risk of Violence Exposure in New Orleans Who Will Benefit Through Improved Mental, Behavioral and Physical Health and Improved Social and Academic Outcomes as Well as Reduced Delinquency and Juvenile Justice System and Criminal Legal System Involvement. the Secondary Beneficiaries Are Families of Children Exposed to Violence Who Benefit Through Increased Access to Support Services and Improved Opportunities for Family Engagement in Shaping Supports for Violence Impacted Children.
