This Advanced Training Environment Allows Tactical Teams to Engage in Hands-on Exercises Without the Need for Live Fire. Its Modular Design Enables Rapid Setup and Reconfiguration, Allowing Training Environments to Adapt to Evolving Operational Needs. Georgetown- the Town of Georgetown Will Use Allocated Funds to Purchase (2) Motorola APX6500 Mobile Radios to Be Installed Into Two New Patrol Vehicles. Motorola Radios Have Served the Town of Georgetown for Over 30 Years. With Expanding Technologies and Capabilities, They Continue to Enhance Officer Safety But Also Public Safety. Changes in Technology Result in Better Communication and Coordination Between Each Unit Regardless of Assignment. This Quality Communication Is Evident in the Event of a Large-scale Emergency Event. Interagency Communication Is Necessary, But It Is Also Important That the Communication Across Disciplines (fire, Ems, Police) Occurs Seamlessly. Portable Radios Have the Advantage of Mobility However, Mobile Radios Transmit and Receive With More Reliability. Milford- the City of Milford Police Department Will Be Using the Allocated Grant Funds to Purchase Nine (9) Microsoft Surface Pro Tables Complete With Keyboards, Protective Covers, Service Plans, Microsoft Pens, and Software Packages to Enhance the Performance of Our Criminal Investigations Unit. the Criminal Investigations Unit Will Utilize the Tablets to Improve Their Effectiveness at Crime Scenes. These Computers Can Connect to Mobile Hotspots or Other Available Wi-fi Networks, Enabling Detectives to Access Necessary Law Enforcement Resources and Receive Updates About Ongoing Situations, Alerts, or Other Critical Information From the Department Directly On-site. Having the Ability to Connect to Mobile Hotspots or Wi-fi Networks in the Field, Allows Access to Databases, Criminal Records, and Real-time Information While on Scene Giving Detectives the Ability to Enhance Their Operational Efficiency and Responsiveness.
