Goals and Objectives of the Project. to Reduce the Availability of Illegal Drugs by Targeting Individuals or Groups Involved in the Importation, Manufacturing, and Distribution of Those Substances. the Ncdtf Targets Mid to Upper-level Drug Trafficking Organizations in Larimer County. We Also Target Those Trafficking Illegal Drugs Into Our Communities From Outside Larimer County. Description of Strategies: Larimer County Sheriffs Office (northern Colorado Drug Task Force) Will Utilize Fy 2024 Jag Funds for the Following: (1) Supplement Overtime Expenses for Drug Related Investigations. Overtime for Task Force Personnel Is Unavoidable Because of the Complexity of Major Narcotics Investigations. (2) Supplement Fees to Initiate Pen Register Traps and Conduct Wiretap Investigations. Cellular Telephone Companies Charge Between $500 and $2,000 to Provide the Connection to Monitor Telephones Depending on the Company, Length of Intercept, and Type of Interception. in 2023, the Ncdtf Anticipate 30 or More Pen Registers and 6 Title Iii Wire Intercepts, Potentially Costing Over $30,000. Collectively, These Strategies Meet Unfunded Liabilities and Will Serve to Reduce the Influx of Illegal Drugs in Our Community.
