Project Activities Include the Purchase of Technology and Modern Equipment to Implement Scenario-based De-escalation Training and Introduce Complementary De-escalation Strategies Into the Field via Modern Equipment. Expected Outcomes Include Better Situational Assessment and Decision Making by Members of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office as Well as Local Officers From Surrounding Jurisdictions for Whom Training and Resources Will Be Made Available. the Project Is Also Expected to Result in Safer Outcomes During Police Interactions Including Those Involving Criminal Suspects and Persons in Crisis as Well as the Community at Large.
