The Stafford County Sheriff's Office Proposes to Implement the Following: Swat Robot, Event Data Recorder, Less Lethal Tools & Restraints and Project Lifesaver Equipment. the Purpose of the Swat Robot Is to Obtain Instantaneous Video and Audio Reconnaissance Within Indoor or Outdoor Environments Which Will Help the Swat Team Assist the Overall Safety to Citizens and the Team When Conducting Missions. the Purpose of the Event Data Recorder Would Support the Purchase of Upgraded Equipment That Would Retrieve Data From the Diagnostic Link of Many Vehicles That Would Assist the Traffic Safety Unit With Crash Investigations. the Purpose of Less Lethal Tools & Restraints Consist of Padded Leather Restraints & the Wraps (which Would Increase the Comfort and Safety of Individuals Being Evaluated on There Mental Health) These Padded Leather Restraints Would Equip the Mental Health Unit and Both Patrol Shifts in the Field Operations Division. the Other Less Lethal Tool We Would Purchase for the Field Operations Division Is Lighting Systems for the Less Lethal Shotguns That Are Currently Deployed. in Low Light Conditions, This Would Help Deputies to Accurately Target Appropriate Points on the Individual Intended to Reduce the Likelihood of Significant Injury. the Purpose of the Project Lifesaver Equipment Helps Assist in Locating Wandering Persons With Alzheimer's or Other Cognitive Disorders. Equipment Purchase Would Include Wristbands, Transmitters, Batteries and Receivers.
