Howe Public Schools Will Target Two Schools (one Elementary School and One Middle\high School) During the First Year to Implement the Strategies and Resources for Each Goal. the HPS High School Reported 13 Threat Assessments and 37 Infractions Related to Behavior. Project Safe Will Transform Its School/district Crisis Safety Plans With a Sound, Fluid, and Adaptable Model to Meet the Needs of Technology and Diverse Situations That May Arise. Years 2 and 3 Will See a Continuation of This Success Model That Is Effective and Adequate for the Stated Objectives and Outcomes. This Work Will Be Supported by the District Leadership, in Partnership With the Police Department and Leflore County Sheriffs Office, to Provide Support to 675 Rural Students in Two K12 Schools. Staff Will Be Introduced to Various Components of School Behavioral Threat Assessments. Clearpath Will Deliver a Threat/site Assessment and Comprehensive School Safety Planning Program to Assist HPS With School Crisis Safety Plan Development, Campus Sel Teams (CST) Training, and School Risk Assessments. for the School to Improve Preparedness and Responsive Needs Aligned Strategically to Protect Students Civil and Privacy Rights, Students in Targeted Schools Will Be Administered a Comprehensive Behavioral Health Threat Assessment Tool Through Terrace Metrics. This Program Will Develop Selected Staff Into Champions Who Quickly Identify and Prioritize Students Necessitating Services and Support. HPS Will Implement a Comprehensive, Research-based Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Program. Working With Each Research-based Vendor, Their Staff Will Provide a Plan for the Process by Completing a Positive School Climate Needs Assessment (including the Physical, Social, and Emotional Elements) Using the Terrace Metrics Climate Surveys.
