As Rates of Autism and Dementia Increase, the Number of People Who May Elope From a Safe Location Also Increases. Unfortunately, California Does Not Have a Unifying Method to Locate, Identify, and Reunite Elopers With Their Loved Ones. as the Sole Applicant on This Request, Get Safe Will Develop and Deliver a Person-centered Prevention and Recovery Training Program for Law Enforcement, Emergency Dispatchers, Caregivers and Service Professionals, and At-risk Individuals. This Would Create the First Statewide Coordinated Effort Among These Groups to Reduce Instances of Injury and Death in Missing Californians With Autism or Dementia.
