The Tulsa County District Attorney (TCDA) Will Develop the Ability of Criminal Justice Agencies in Tulsa County, Oklahoma, to Prevent and Reduce Intellectual Property Crime By:continuing to Build Interagency Partnerships Through Support of a Recently Established Task Force, Investigating and Prosecuting Intellectual Property Crimes and Organized Crime Rings, and Educating Task Force Members and the Public on Best Practices and Buyer Awareness. Grant Funds Will Pay for Personnel Dedicated to Combatting Intellectual Property Crime, Including One Subrecipient, the Tulsa County Sheriffs Office, to Retain a Deputy. the Grant-funded Deputy and Prosecutor Will Serve as Core Members of an Ongoing Task Force, the First of Its Kind in Oklahoma. They Will Identify, Investigate, and Prosecute State-level Cases, as Well as Assist Homeland Security Investigations and the U.s. Attorneys Office With Federal Cases. the Tcda and Its Partners Will Develop Policies and Procedures for the Permanent Task Force, Secure Sustainable Future Funding, and Identify Opportunities to Educate the Public About Intellectual Property Crime. the Expected Outcome of Grant Activities Will Be a Reduction in Intellectual Property Crime in Tulsa County Through 40 New Cases Investigated, 15 New Charges Filed, 2 Federal Investigations Assisted, Quarterly Task Force Meetings Held, Annual Trainings Attended, Annual Summary Reports Written, and 4 Outreach Events Conducted.
