Technology Purchased With These Funds Will Be Used to Support 18 Police Agencies in the Downriver Mutual Aid Consortium in the Following. the Goal of the Project Is to Improve Overall Effectiveness, of Public Safety, Particularly Connectivity/communication Between Downriver Mutual Aid Members (18 Communities in Southern Wayne County, Mi), Thereby Raising the Level of Performance for All. Specific Project Objectives: Properly and Effectively Maintain the Regional Next GEN-911 System; Update Computers to Comply With Cyber Security Requirements; Share Next Gen 911 Mapping With Cad/gis Systems; Provide a More Efficient Law Enforcement Process for Traffic Enforcement and Officer Accountability. (in Car Equipment and Body Cameras/storage); Maintain Interoperability With the State Mpscs Radio Network (radio Programming); Provide a Network of Cameras to Assist in Law Enforcement Efforts; Provide Equipment Based on the Individual Needs of Each Community, With a Focus on Connectivity Between the Communities, County, and State Entities; and Provide Support for Computer Aided Dispatch Systems. to Accomplish These Objectives, a Variety of Technology Equipment and Supplies Will Be Purchased and Distributed to Members. Specific Items Include: I.t. Related Servers, Switches and Routers and Supporting Infrastructure; Maintenance of Regional Next Gen 911 Systems and Software; 911 Cad/gis/ RMS Servers, Software; 911 Answering Position Equipment; Portable and Mobile 800 MHZ Radios; Voice Recorders; In-car Computers, Camera Systems, Modems, and Scanner and Printers; Flox Camera System or Equivalent; and Body Cameras. If Multi-year Funding Is Awarded, the First Six Months of the Project Will Be Obtaining Bids for the Purchase of Equipment/supplies. the Following Twelve Months Is the Timeframe for Purchase, Installation, and Implementation, With the Last Six Months of the Project Devoted to Evaluation and Monitoring, Ensuring Appropriate and Effective Use of the Funds. This Project Will Benefit the Cities and Townships in South-eastern Wayne County.
