The Purpose of Haymarket Centers Project Restart Is to Reduce Recidivism Among as Many as 200 Adults Who Are Transitioning From Inpatient Treatment for Substance Use Disorder to Communities in the Service Area of Chicagos South and West Sides But Are at Risk of Recidivating. Project Restart Recognizes That Recidivism Is Not Caused by Just One or Two Factors, But Rather by a Host of Factors Demanding Tightly Coordinated Services From Professionals and Peers Alike. the Expected Outcome and Goal Is That, of the 125 Persons Who Are Enrolled Into Project Services, 100 Will Not Recidivate While They Are Enrolled in Project Restart. the Primary Activities to Achieve the Goal Is as Follows Are as Follows: Using Techniques of Motivational Interviewing, Discuss Enrollment Into Project Restart With 200 Persons Who Are Transitioning From Inpatient Treatment for Substance Use Disorder to Communities in the Service Area of Chicagos South and West Sides But Are at Risk of Recidivating. Administer Evidence-based Criminogenic Risk Instruments to 175 Persons. Create Restart Recovery Plans for 125 Persons. Engage at Least 125 Unique Project Participants in Recreational Therapy to Help Reduce Recidivism Due to Lack of Leisure Activities. Engage Up to 125 Unique Project Participants in Marriage/family Counseling to Help Reduce Recidivism Due to Problematic Relationships With Family. Engage at Least 125 Unique Project Participants in Anger Management Counseling to Help Reduce Recidivism Due to Poor Impulse Control and Other Antisocial Personality Patterns. Engage at Least 125 Unique Project Participants in Peer Support Groups to Help Reduce Recidivism Due to Antisocial Peer Networks. Engage at Least 125 Unique Participants in Outpatient Sud Treatment to Help Reduce Recidivism Due to Substance Misuse. Engage at Least 125 Unique Project Participants in Moral Recognitiontherapy to Help Reduce Recidivism Due to Antisocial Cognition, Such as Antisocial Attitudes, Values, Beliefs, and Personal Identities. Engage at Least 125 Unique Project Participants in Job Readiness Training Curricula; Workshops to Search and Apply for Jobs and Prepare for Interviews; Follow-up and Job Retention Services; Case Management for Educational and Vocational Programs; and Mentorship on How to Navigate Work-related Stresses and Build a Career That Both Pays the Bills and Feels Satisfying. There Will Be No Subrecipients.
