The Goal of This Grant Is to Enhance Our Pdmp’s Ability to Provide Training Programs and Support for System Users by Creating Documentation and Expanding Communications That Enhance End User System Utilization, Technical System Operation and Maintenance. the Dissemination of These Educational Materials Will Improve the Effectiveness of Our PDMP as a Tool for Our System Users and the Efficiency of Our Team in Support of System Users. This Grant Will Enable CHFS to Add a Dedicated Business Analyst to Serve in the Role of a Technical Writer and Communication Specialist. the Kasper System Is Undergoing an Extensive System Modernization Project Which Will Conclude in Early 2023. the Business Analyst Will Support the Development and Implementation of Training on the Modernized Kasper System by the Kasper Program Administrator, Helpdesk Personnel, Pharmacist Consultants and Others Through the Following Objectives: the Business Analyst Will Work in Concert With the Kasper Program Administrator and Technical Resources to Create Kasper User Guides and Training Materials for Each User Role Including, But Not Limited to, Prescribers, Pharmacists, Delegates, Law Enforcement, Licensure Boards and Kasper Staff. These Materials Will Be Disseminated in Trainings Sessions via Professional Association Meetings, Webinars and Site Based Trainings in Order to Enable Effective Use of the Modernized System. the Business Analyst Will Work in Concert With the Kasper Program Administrator, Kasper Information Technology Project Manager, and the Technical Team to Develop a Kasper Technical Support Manual for the Modernized System. This Manual Will Document the Technical Operation, Maintenance and Support of the System in Detail. This Would Better Enable Kasper Staff to Efficiently Support the System, Troubleshoot Issues and Train New Technical Resources. This Manual May Also Be Made Available to States or Territories Who Are Interested in Implementing an in House Supported PDMP System. the Business Analyst Will Work in Concert With the Kasper Program Administrator to Create and Facilitate Regular Communications With Clinical and Non-clinical Users via Kasper Direct Messaging (developed Through a 2018 Bja Harold Rogers Grant) and Other Communication Methods. the Communications Would Include: Regular Educational Communications Targeted at Increasing User Knowledge of Technical Functionality Specific Issues Based Communications Communications Related to Statutory or Regulatory Changes and Compliance With Statute Communications to Support the Work of Kasper Stakeholders Such as Federal and State Law Enforcement or Licensure Boards.
