Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Centers Project Abstract 2022 the Puerto Rico Department of Correction and Rehabilitation (PRDCR) Will Use the Fy 2022 Rsat to Continue Support the Rsat Projects in the Residential Treatment Center of Arecibo (ctra for Its Acronym in Spanish) and Intermediate House for Female Offenders in San Juan (him for Its Acronym in Spanish). the Project Has the Capacity of Housing 75 and 38 Residents, Respectively. It Will Be Responsible of Offering Services to Participants Revoked From Community Rehabilitation Programs And/or Inmates Who Are Required to Participate in Treatment Programs as a Condition to Benefits and Privileges. the Prdcr Offered the Following Activities During the Past Period: (1) Provide Housing and Food Services; (2) Social-penal Services and Social Workers for the Participant and Their Family; (3) Medical Services as Required by the Participants, (4) Psychological Services and Counseling Focused to Treat the Addictions; (5) Strengthen Family Ties and Encourage Their Support on the Recuperating Process; (6) Offer a Holistic Treatment for the Use and Abuse of Controlled Substances and the Prevention of Recurrence of Its Use (based on a Bio-psycho-social Plan); (7) Cultural and Sports Activities; (8) Religious Services; (9) Drug Test; (10) Coordinate Job Opportunities With Potential Employers and Educational Centers for the Participants and Their Families in the Community. the Prdcr Will Continue to Provide Follow-up Services to Participants in the Community Who Have Completed the Treatment Program by: (1) Follow-up Services Through the Regional Offices of the Bureau of Treatment and Rehabilitation; (2) Maintaining Communication With the Participants and Their Family to Give Them Support in Their Return to the Free Community; (3) Maintaining Communication With Families and Government Officials Who Intervene With the Clients by Monitoring Their Progress; and (4) Aftercare Services in the Period of 180 Days. the Treatment Consists of Five (5) Phases. Participants Admitted to the Program Are Supposed to Complete All of These Phases in a Period No Greater Than 1 Year and 6 Months (18 Months). the Evaluation Method Will Be Impact Evaluation. the Comparative Basis Used for This Evaluation Will Be the Behavior of the Clients Before the Intermediate Phase and After the Process of Evaluations, Orientations and Treatments.
