The Grants to Engage Men and Boys as Allies in the Prevention of Violence Against Women and Girls Program Supports Projects That Develop and Implement Strategies That Create Educational Programming and Community Organizing to Encourage Men and Boys to Work as Allies With Women and Girls to Prevent Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, Stalking, and Sex Trafficking. With This Funding, Tabernacle Church of God in Christ (tcogic)will Implement the Brotherhood Project in Desoto County, Mississippi, to Address the Challenges and Needs of African Americanboys Ages 11-24. the Project Will Promote Healthy Relationships, Redefine Masculinity, Empower Community Members, and Provide Economic Opportunities for African Americanboys and Men. Tcogic, in Partnership With the Fellowship of Christian Athletes of Desoto County (FCA) and the Memphis Area Minority Contractors Association (mamca), Will: 1) Provide Comprehensive Education and Training Programs; 2) Strive to Empower Community Members, Particularly Men and Boys, to Become Active Allies Through Advocacy, Leadership Development, and Community Organizing Efforts; and 3) Promote Economic Empowerment Among Men and Boys Through Job Training, Entrepreneurship Support, and Financial Literacy Education, Addressing Systemic Inequalities and Creating Pathways to Economic Stability and Independence. This Project Addresses the Ovw Priority Area of Advancing Equity and Tribal Sovereignty. the Timing for Performance of This Award Is 36 Months.
