The Enhancing Investigations and Prosecution of Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking (EIP) Encourages Law Enforcement Agencies And/or Prosecutors Offices to Expand and Improve Their Capacity to Effectively Investigate And/or Prosecute Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking, and in So Doing, Support Victim Safety and Autonomy, Hold Offenders Accountable, and Promote Agency Trust Within the Surrounding Community. the Eip Project by Jefferson County District Attorneys Office Birmingham Division, in Partnership With One Place Metro Alabama Family Justice Center, to Implement in Jefferson County, Al Addresses Eip Purpose Areas: 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6. Additionally, This Project Addresses Ovw Priority Area 1: Access to Justice. Specific Activities Include the Following: 1) Implement the Domestic Violence High Risk Team Model; 2) Enhance the Domestic Violence Fatality Review Team; 3) Develop a Criminalized Survivor Protocol; 4) Develop Domestic Violence Court Enhancements; 5) Hire an Attorney to Prosecute Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking Cases; and 6) Hire a Crime Analyst to Assist With the Prosecution of Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking Cases.
