The Native Alliance Against Violence, Inc. (naav), Oklahomastribal Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Coalition, SERVES38 Federally Recognized Tribes and Their Domestic and Sexual Violence Programs.the Naav Service Area Is Divided Into Five Regions for the Purpose of Identifying and Electing Regional Representatives to Serve on the Naav Executive Board, and for the Purpose of Conducting Regional Trainings, Meetings, and Gatherings. the Services, Support, and Technical Assistance Provided to the Coalition Member Programs and Tribes Varies Greatly Dependent Upon the Unique and Specialized Needs of the Individual Programs and Tribe. Throughpartnership and This Funding, Naav Will: 1.) Increase Awareness of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Against Indian WOMEN;2.) Enhance Response to Violence Against Indian Women at the Federal, State, and Tribal LEVELS;3.) Identify and Provide Technical Assistanceto Enhance Access to Essential Services for Survivors of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault; 4.) Assist Tribes in Developing and Promoting State, Local and Tribal Legislation and Policies That Enhance Best Practices for Responding to Crimes Against Indian Women; and 5.)ASSIST Tribes and Tribal Programs in Theirawareness and Outreach Efforts by Developing and Disseminating Culturally Specific Awareness Toolkits; and 6.)COORDINATING and Conducting Regional and Statewide Workshops Andtraining Events to Supporttribal Professionals and Their Non-tribal Allied Professionals in an Effort to Enhance Collaboration and the Response to Violence Against Indian Women.
