The Grants to Prevent and Respond to Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, Stalking, and Sex Trafficking Against Children and Youth Program Supports Comprehensive, Community-based Projects That Develop or Expand Prevention, Intervention, Treatment, and Response Strategies to Address the Needs of Children and Youth Impacted by Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, Stalking, and Sex Trafficking, Including Support for Their Non-abusing Parents, Caregivers, and Legal Guardians. With This Funding, Raksha, Inc., in Partnership With Athenas Warehouse, Will Provide Services to Youth Ages 11 24 Inatlanta, Georgia. Specifically, This Project Will: 1) Develop a CCR Addressing Emerging Issues and Receive Training on Trauma-informed Care, Cultural Competency, and Working With Youth Impacted by Violence; 2) Develop a Strategic Plan/logic Model Through Community Strengths and Needs Assessment by Conducting Focus Groups With Current and Former Youth Programming Participants Who Can Provide Feedback and Insight on the Ground Urgent Issues, Gaps, and Barriers to Services; 3) Serve Young Adults and Develop, Expand, and Strengthen Collective Capacity to Offer Preventative, Intervention, Treatment, and Response Services Through Culturally and Linguistically Competent Counseling/case Management Services, Youth Programming, and Awareness Campaigns; and 4) Develop and Deliver Educational Programming Training for Criminal Justice and Other Allied Professionals Addressing the Prevention of and Response to Youth Victims Impacted by Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Dating Violence, Stalking, and Sex Trafficking. the Project Period for This Award Is 36 Months.
