More Than 13,000 School Age Students and Their Families Benefit From Additional School Safety Measures as the Wayne County Sheriff's Office Provides Leadership and Support for the Wayne County Comprehensive School Safety Project. This Cops SVVP Effort Will Focus on Improved Emergency Communications Through Countywide Installation of a Computer and Phone Application Technology for Emergency Planning, Incident Command, Training, Drilling, Safety Auditing, Compiance Tracking, Bulnerability Surveying, Threat Assessment, and Real Time Data Analytics Creating Cross-contact Integration Between School Districs and Our Local Law Enforcement. All Systems, Including Video Management, Pa, Cell Phone Systems and Real-time Push to Talk Features of This Application Add the Communication Capacity Our Needs Assessment Reveals.using the National Model of Community Schools Strategy That Defines Schools as Resource Hubs, the Wcso Will Provide for a Community Schools Liaison to Improve Coordination With Law Enforcement at Each School Campus. This Liaison Will Interface With Partners in Juvenile Justice and School Administration, School Staff, Families and Students and Help Implement the New Technology-- Training Teachers, Law Enforcement and Other Stakeholders. Funding for Radio Communications Will Remedy Concerning Lapses in Signal That Leave Sro's and Responding Law Enforcement Agencies in Compromising Situations. Technology Enhancements and Communication Improvements Will Be Anchored to an Established Multi-disciplinary Team. Emphasis on Community Building, Tiered Support, Wraparound Care and Deep Regard for Theneed of People to Belong and Be Safe Will Be Maintained. This Project Will Quicken Our Ability to Coordinate a Response to an Emergency, This Project Is Supported by the Wayne County Department of Mental Health, Wayne County School Districts, and the Wayne Partnership for Strengthening Families-- a Collaboration of More Than 50 School Districts. This Applicationcontinues More Than a Decade of Focused Efforts to Carefully Shape the School Safety Landscape Using Ntac Guidance Documents. When This Project Is Over We Will Have a Clear Wayne County School Safety Guide, a Common Method for Reporting Emergency Scenarios and Situations via a Universal Cellphone and Computer Alert Tool (tap App) and Improved Radio Communications So That Officers Are Never Alone in Our Rural Area.
