Description:this Agreement Provides Funding in the Amount of $5,000,000 to Aiken County to Implement Its Project to Rehabilitate the Existing Secondary Clarifiers at the Horse Creek Wastewater Treatment Facility as Directed in the 2023 Consolidated Appropriations Act or as Identified in an Approved Technical Correction If One Has Been Approved for This Project. Activities:the Activities to Be Performed Include the Execution and Implementation of a Wastewater Infrastructure Construction Project. Workplan Activities Consist of Rehabilitating the Existing Four Secondary Clarifiers at the Horse Creek Waste Water Treatment Plant in Aiken County.subrecipient:no Subawards Are Included in This Assistance Agreement.outcomes:the Anticipated Deliverables Include Four Rehabilitated Secondary Clarifiers at the Horse Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant. the Expected Outcomes Include Maintaining Compliance With Discharge Permit Limits on a Consistent Basis Due to Better Operation of the Four Rehabilitated Clarifiers at the Horse Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant. Expected Outcomes Also Include: Remove Old Clarifier Equipment; Replace the Old Equipment in Four Secondary Clarifiers With New Clarifier Mechanisms to Include Center Support Column and Inlet Pipe, Energy Dissipation Well, Half Catwalk, Drive Platform, Drive Mechanism, Sludge Collection Manifolds, Tube Supports, Skimmer Arm, Skimmer Beach, Weirs and Weir Baffles, and Other Miscellaneous Structural Items, Fasteners, Etc.; Rehabilitate the Existing Concrete Effluent Launders and Apply a Resistance Lining to Mitigate Surface Corrosion and Algae; Spray Wash Clean All Other Concrete Surfaces; Perform Mortar Repair of the Wall Surfaces; Remove the First 20 to 30 Feet of the Floor Grout Layer and Install New Grout Layer; and Start Up and Commission New Equipment. the Intended Beneficiaries Include Cities Within Aiken County and Special Purpose Districts That Discharge to the Horse Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant.
