Description:this Action Provides Funding in the Amount of $399,893 to Miami-dade County. the Purpose of This Project Is to Implement Biscayne Bay Boating Community Outreach and Education Campaign That Will Engage the Boating Public Through the Creation of Branded Educational Campaigns. Activities Include Development of a Multi-lingual and Multi-media Outreach Collateral to Engage With the Boating Population to Include the Creation of a Web Resource, Public Service Announcement, Digital Learning Resources, Physical Signage at Vessel Launching Locations, and the Creation of Project Branding for Display Throughout the Project Areas. Anticipated Deliverables Include the Development and Implementation of a Digital and In-person Environmental Education Campaign Specifically Targeted to the Boating Community, the Distribution of Branded Solid Waste Stowage/collection Bags, Palm Cards, and QR Coded Stickers. Expected Outcomes Include Measured Increase in the Boating Community's Awareness Regarding Biscayne Bay's Vital Economic and Environmental Importance and Increased Environmental Stewardship and Measured Decrease in the Detrimental Impacts From the Boating Community to the Bay's Terrestrial and Marine Resources, Including But Not Limited to Seagrass Communities, Mangrove and Coastal Wetlands and Coastal Upland Plant Communities.
