Description:hughes Village Will Use FY25 Gap Funds to Maintain the Environmental Program and Meet All Grant Requirements, Remove Solid Waste and Recycling and Keep the Community Clean, Help the Community With Indoor and Outdoor Air Quality, and Request Water Quality, Riverbank Erosion and Permafrost Testing by the Yukon River Inter-tribal Watershed Council. Activities:hughes Village Will Use Maintain the Environmental Program by Hiring Staff, Completing Quarterly Reporting, Purchasing Supplies, Educating the Community on Environmental Issues, Updating the Small Community Emergency Response Plan (scerp), Helping to Develop a Local Emergency Response Team, and Attending the Annual Gap Workshop; Keeping the Community Clean Through Backhaul and Recycling, Maintaining the Landfill, Attending Trainings, Working With the City of Hughes, Educating Residents, Continuing to Clean Up the Hughes Tank Farm, and Starting a Used Oil Collection Program; Help the Community With Indoor and Outdoor Air Quality Through Education and Watering Down the Roads to Reduce Road Dust; and Requesting Water Quality, Riverbank Erosion and Permafrost Testing by the Yukon River Inter-tribal Watershed Council. Subrecipient:no Subawards Are Included in This Assistance Agreement.outcomes:deliverables Will Include Quarterly Progress Reports, Quarterly Newsletters, an Application to Americorps or Vista, Trip Reports, a Backhaul Inventory, Before an After Pictures, an Updated Map of the Landfill, Training Certificates, and Flyers. Expected Outcomes Include an Organized and Structured Records System, Improved Community Participation in and Understanding of Environmental Issues, Improved Safety for the Community, More Knowledgeable Staff, and a Cleaner, Healthier Community. Direct Beneficiaries of This Grant Are Members of the Tribe.
