Description:through This Award the Urban Waters and Wildlife Partners (UWWP) Will Reduce Toxics in the Upper Willamette Basin, a Sub-basin of the Columbia River Basin, Through Their Stormwater Retrofit Program. the Environmental Benefits This Project Are Healthier River Systems and Reduced Impact of Toxics on Fish and Wildlife. This Agreement Will Be Funded Under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Activities:the Uwwp Will Provide Technical Assistance for Improved Stormwater Management and Install Twenty-four Voluntary Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) Facilities to Reduce or Eliminate Pollution and Runoff, Improve Water Quality, and Protect Habitat While Promoting Citizen Engagement and Knowledge. They Will Design and Install Gsi Facilities in Ejscreen Prioritized Neighborhoods Through Continued Collaboration With Underserved Communities. the Completion of This Project Will Be Done Through the Issuance of Subawards.subrecipient:subaward Activities Include Development of Stormwater Designs, Project Installations, Monitoring and Evaluation of Existing and New Gsi Projects, Tribal Liaison Support, Community Engagement and Educational Programs, Tree Equity Project, and Other Activities Associated With the Program and Partnership. Subrecipients Include the Long Tom Watershed Council, Mckenzie Watershed Alliance, Middle Fork Willamette Watershed Council, Coast Fork Willamette Watershed Council, Naacp, Monitoring Subawards, Catch Basin Cleaning Program Subawards Managed by Lane County, and Operations and Maintenance Subawards Managed by the City of Eugene. Outcomes:anticipated Deliverables Include the Installation of 15-20 New Gsi Projects, Increased Green Spaces in Underserved Communities Through Tree Planting, Etc., Development of a Catch Basin Cleaning Program, Four Educational Events With Local Schools a Year, and Effectiveness Monitoring Results. the Expected Outcomes Include Improved Stormwater Management Planning, Reduced Toxins, Improved Habitats, Increased Public Awareness, and a Data-driven Monitoring Design. the Intended Beneficiaries Are the Communities Within the Upper Willamette Basin.
