Description:the Primary Objective of the Epa's Ancsa Cooperative Agreement Grants Program Is to Provide Financial Support to Assist the Alaska Tribal Entities With Addressing Contamination on Lands Conveyed Pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) (43 U.s.c. 1601 Et Seq.). the Funds Are Available to Eligible Tribal Applicant to: (1) to Characterize, Assess, and Conduct Planning and Community Involvement Activities Related to These Lands; and (2) to Carry Out Cleanup Activities at Ancsa Contaminated Sites. the Alaska Native Village Corporation (ANC) of Tyonek Corporation Will Assemble a Project Management Team, Select, and Contract a Qualified Environmental Professional (qep), Ensuring Compliance With All Environmental Regulatory and for the Safety of Field Operations to Adequately Address Associated Hazardous Material (hazmat), Safety, and Human Health Requirements. the Goal, and Final Outcome, Is to Being Initial Cleanup of Area, Decommissioning of Remaining Drums and Being Assessment of Site.activities:initial Cleanup Action Includes: (1) Initiating Drum Inventory and Decommissioning Activities; (2) Characterization and Management of Liquids And/or Solid Wastes, Which May Include: a) Overpacking And/or Transferring Liquid And/or Solid Wastes for Safe Storage in Designated Areas; B) Conducting Field Tests or Collecting Samples for Laboratory Analysis/waste Profiling; C) On-site Treatment And/or Disposal Activities; And/or D) Off-site Transport, Treatment And/or Disposal Activities; and (3) Collection and Analysis of Select Surface/shallow Soil Samples.subrecipient:no Subawards Are Included in This Assistance Agreement.outcomes:the Goal of the Initial Cleanup Action Is to Initiate Comprehensive Drum Decommissioning, Waste Management, and Soil Sampling Activities to Prepare for a Comprehensive Site Investigation Using Ciri's Recently Awarded FY2023 Epa Brownfield Tribal Assessment Grant.
