Description:the Primary Objectives of This Project Include: Progressive Administrative and Programmatic Capacity Development Will Strengthen the Tribe's Environmental Program; Community Outreach and Education: Explore a Variety of Environmental Topics and Issues With Community Members to Encourage Involvement in Environmental Issues and Projects. Focus on the Priorities in the Tribe's Epa Tribal Environmental Plan (ETEP) and Current Workplan; Continue to Improve Solid/hazardous Waste Management Through Collaboration With Partners, Training for Staff, and Community Outreach and Education; Continue to Expand and Improve the Solid/hazardous Waste Management Program Using Optimal Practices and the Latest Technologies; and Planning/program Development by Collaborating With a Variety of Organizations to Improve Environmental Health and Sustainability.activities:this Work Plan Contains Four Components. Component One Is Focused on Continuing to Develop Capacity to Manage Environmental Programs Supporting the Epa Tribal Environmental Plan Priorities. They Will Develop Staff and Program Knowledge Through Training and Conference Attendance. Component Two Is Focused on Building Technical Capacity to Evaluate and Share Water Quality Data With Community Members and Contribute to the Yukon Watershed Database. Component Three Prioritizes Community Outreach Through Clean-up Events That Build Awareness of Improperly Disposed of Waste; and Will Build on Other Clean-up Work to Back-haul Hazardous and Recyclable Items Out of the Community. Component Four Brings a Hazwoper Certification Trainer to the Community to Build Knowledge Locally and Share Opportunity With Tribal Members to Gain Capacity to Handle and Properly Dispose of Hazardous Materials.subrecipient:no Subawards Are Included in This Assistance Agreement.outcomes:anticipated Grant Deliverables Include Quarterly Grant Reporting. Detailed Trip Reports With Certificates If Applicable. Submittal of Water Quality Data Into the Regional Database. Copies of Quarterly Newsletters Sent Out to the Community. Summaries of Clean-up Events, Volume Collected, and Pounds or Volume of Backhauled Items Shipped. Direct Beneficiaries of This Grant Are Members of the Tribe.
