Description:these Funds for the North American Development Bank (NADB) Will Provide Assistance to Implement the Recipient's Border Environment Infrastructure Fund (BEIF) Program. the Activities Are to Provide Grant Financial Assistance to Numerous Subrecipients for Costs Associated With the Construction and Transition Assistance of Their Eligible Safe Drinking Water and Water Quality Improvement and Protection Projects. the Expected Outcomes Are to Manage an Effective Comprehensive Beif Program and to Implement Projects That Address Safe Drinking Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Projects That Improve and Protect Water Quality and Public Health for Citizens Throughout the Region 6 Us/mexico Border Area Up to (62 Miles on Each Side of the Border). the North American Development Bank (NADB) Will Use the Funds to Implement the Border Environment Infrastructure Fund (BEIF) Program in Accordance With the Objectives, Responsibilities, and Procedures Described in the Standard Operating Procedures Dated May 2011 or Its Latest Revision. the Projects Identified in the Work Plan Meet the Category 1 Priority and Will Be Developed by Nadb Using Project Development Assistance Program (PDAP) Funding for Certification. the Nadb Will Provide Assistance in the Form of Subawards to Three Communities in the Us/mexico Border Area for the Award of Construction Contracts and Implement the Construction of Drinking Water And/or Wastewater Infrastructure for Its Service Areas. Anthony, NM Will Implement a Water Storage and Distribution Expansion Project; Nuevo Laredo, Mexico Will Implement a Comprehensive Wastewater Collection and Treatment Rehabilitation; and Sunland Park, NM Through Its Water and Wastewater Utility Provider (camino Real Regional Utility Authority) Will Implement a Wastewater Collection System Improvements Project. Over 22,415 Households in the Three Border Communities (anthony, NM; Nuevo Laredo, Mexico; and Sunland Park, NM) Will Benefit From Improved Drinking Water and Wastewater Services. in Addition, Residents in the Community of Laredo, Texas Will Benefit From the Elimination of Raw or Inadequately Treated Wastewater Discharges From Mexican Communities to the Rio Grande Leading to the Improvement of the Water Quality.activities:the Nadb Will Oversee and Administer the Implementation of Construction And/or Transition Assistance to Three Communities in Anthony, NM; Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico; and Sunland Park, NM. the Communities Through Subawards Will Procure and Issue Construction Oversight and Construction Contracts to Implement High Priority Drinking Water and Wastewater Projects to Benefit the Residents in Each Community and for the Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas to Have a Direct Transboundary Benefit to the Us Community of Laredo, Texas. Subrecipient:the Communities Will Procure and Award Construction Oversight and Construction Contracts to Implement the Construction of High Priority Drinking Water and Wastewater Projects to Benefit the Community Residents. Outcomes:the Nadb Will Provide Progress Construction Schedules on a Monthly Basis and Ongoing and Projected Project Disbursements on a Quarterly Basis as Part of Their Oversight and Project Administration. as Part of the Nadb's Oversight Activities, Monthly and Quarterly Schedules and Reports Will Be Provided to the Epa Region 6 to Demonstrate Project Progress.
