Description:this Agreement Funds the Recipient's Program to Conduct the Remedial Action at the Eagle Picher Carefree Battery Hazardous Waste Site, Which Is Listed on the National Priorities List (NPL) of the National Oil and Hazardous Substances Contingency Plan.activities:the Activities to Be Performed Include the Following Site-specific Actions: - Pump and Treat System Construction: Extraction Wells to Capture Contaminated Groundwater, a Central Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) Treatment Facility to Treat the Contaminated Groundwater, and Injection Wells Located on the Eagle Picher Property to Dispose of the Treated Groundwater. - Implementing the Pump and Treat System in Two Phases: 1) Phase I, Which Involves Capturing Groundwater in the Highly Contaminated Areas of the Plume, Forms the Basis of This Work Plan; and, 2) Phase Ii, Which Involves Capturing Contaminated Groundwater at the Leading Edge of the Plume, Is Dependent on Information Gathered During Phase I. Subrecipient:no Subawards Are Included in This Assistance Agreement.outcomes:anticipated Outcomes, Expected Deliverables and Intended Beneficiaries Include: Nmed Will Provide Epa With Financial Status and Project Progress Reports. These Reports Will Detail Expenditures and Discuss Specific Activities Conducted in Performance of the Ra at the Site. the Schedule for Submittal of These Reports Will Be Specified by Epa. Technical Deliverables Include But Are Not Limited to Health and Safety Plans, Construction Quality Assurance Project Plans, Sampling Plan and Operations and Maintenance Plan, Monthly Reporting, Inspection Reports, Interim Remedial Action Completion Reports, Groundwater Monitoring Reports, FY24 and FY25 Annual Comprehensive Groundwater Monitoring Reports, and Permits. These Reports Will Be Prepared by Nmed's Contractor. Nmed and Epa Will Provide Comments on Draft Deliverables for Incorporation Prior to Finalization.
