Description:this Action Approves an Award in the Amount of $63,478 to the Chattanooga-hamilton County Air Pollution Control Bureau. This Agreement Provides Funding Under the Inflation Reduction Act (ira), and the Primary Objective of This Project Is to Continue to Collect Valid Data on Ambient Air Concentrations of Fine Particulate Matter (PM2.5).ACTIVITIES:THE Activities to Be Performed Include, the Operation and Maintenance of PM2.5 and Ozone Monitoring Networks in Accordance With All Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Requirements; Reviewing and Updating the Quality Assurance Project Plan and Standard Operating Procedures; Meeting the Epa's Monitoring Data Completion Requirements; Certifying Monitoring Data for 2023 by the Deadline; Participating in the State of Tennessee's Air Monitoring Plan; Participating in Airnow by Reporting Continuous Data for Mapping Purposes; Submitting an Annual Performance Plan for 2023; Purchasing and Installing Air Monitoring Equipment; Operating a Microscope for Use in Particle Identification and Emissions Complaints; Purchasing a Replacement Rotorod Sampler for Mold and Pollen Counting and Particle Characterization; Purchasing Rods for the Rotorod Sampler; Purchasing an Alicat Flow Calibration Device for Local Audits; and Purchasing a Laboratory Grade Secure Refrigerator/freezer for PM2.5 Filter Sample Storage.subrecipient:no Subawards Are Included in This Assistance Agreement.outcomes:the Anticipated Deliverables Include Replacing Ozone Monitors and a Microscope. the Expected Outcomes Include Obtaining an Increase in Knowledge Regarding the Character and Extent of Pollution in the Ambient Air of Hamilton County, Tennessee. Increasing Knowledge Contributes to the Ability to Lower Pollution and Assists in Decision Making. the Long Term Outcome, Through the Eventual Development and Implementation of Tennessee's Implementation Plans, Is to Comply With the National Ambient Air Quality Standards as Set Forth by the Clean Air Act and to Provide Healthier Air for Its Intended Beneficiaries, Which Are the Citizens of Hamilton County, Tennessee.
