Description:this Action Approves an Award in the Amount of $491,171 to the Enterprise Center, Incorporated. This Agreement Provides Funding Under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) to Conduct Ambient Air Monitoring of Pollutants of the Greatest Concern in Communities With Environmental and Health Outcome Disparities Stemming From Pollution and the COVID-19 Pandemic.activities:the Activities to Be Performed Are to Conduct Site Assessment for Monitor Deployment; Develop a Quality Assurance Project Plan and Standard Operating Procedures in Accordance With the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Policies; Conduct Ongoing Quality Assurance and Maintenance for the Monitor Network; Develop a Public-facing Website With Access to Network Data Visualizations and Resident Resources; Develop and Provide Open Access to Monitor Network Datasets; Establish an Air Quality Monitoring Fellowship in Partnership With the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (utc), Center for Urban Informatics and Progress and Utc Research Institute; and Conduct Community Outreach and Education Activities.subrecipient:through the Subaward, the University of Tennessee Will Create a Position to Bring on an Air Quality Monitoring Staff Member to Support the Work of Cleean Monitor Network Health, Develop Reporting Materials, Upload and Share Data, Conduct Community Outreach and Support Partner Organizations and Grant Goalsoutcomes:the Anticipated Deliverables Include Installing 100 Fixed Low-cost PM2.5 and 30 PM10 Monitors Across Chattanooga and Hamilton County, With a Focus on Community Centers, Public Schools, City and County Government Properties, and Other Community Partner Locations Within Distressed Communities of High Rates of Health Disparities, Minority and Low-income Households, or Households at Greater Risk for Adverse Health Outcomes. the Expected Outcomes for This Project Are Increased Monitoring Capacity, Accuracy and Resiliency, as Well as an Increased Community Awareness of and Access to Data. Additional Outcomes Include Improved Community Health and Improvements to the Social Determinants of Health for Residents. Intended Beneficiaries Are Residents of the Chattanooga-hamilton County, Tennessee Area.
