Description:this Action Approves an Award in the Amount of $456,000 to Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet to Implement a Program to Provide Drinking Water Program Assistance to Underserved, Small and Disadvantaged Communities. the Purpose of This Grant Agreement Is to Provide Training and Technical Assistance at Several Pre-selected Small and Underserved Water Systems in Kentucky. Activities to Be Performed Include Carry Out Projects Needed for Public Water Systems to Comply With the Safe Drinking Water Act, Programs to Provide Household Water Quality Testing, and Activities for a State to Respond to a Drinking Water Contaminant. Anticipated Deliverables and Expected Outcomes, Includes Training Sessions, Development of Self-sufficiency in Operation and Management of the Pre-selected Small and Underserved Water Systems, in Compliance With Existing and Anticipated New Drinking Water Regulations.
