Description:this Action Approves an Award in the Amount of $775,000 to Tampa Bay Estuary Program to Support Implementation of the Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan and Strategic Plan to Improve Water Quality, Protect the Natural Habitat and Living Resources, and Support Sustainable Human Uses Within the Tampa Bay Estuary Program. Activities:tampa Bay Estuary Program Will Coordinate and Facilitate Tbep and Tampa Bay Nitrogen Management Consortium Activities That: 1) Contribute to the Continued Attainment of Water Quality Targets and Regulatory Thresholds for the Bay, 2) Annually Report on All Relevant Bay Conditions, Including Requirements Set Forth in the Tampa Bay Reasonable Assurance Determination, and 3) Develop the 2022 Reasonable Assurance Update (ongoing Project). Assess Current and Historic Acreage of Critical Coastal Habitats and Adaptively Manage and Target Areas for Preservation and Restoration (new and Ongoing Projects). Continue to Implement Long-term, 'on the Ground' Monitoring Programs to Assess Estuarine Ecological and Functional Changes in Critical Coastal Habitats (new and Ongoing Projects). Assess Benthic and Sediment Conditions on an Annual Basis (new and Ongoing Projects).subrecipient:no Subawards Are Included in This Assistance Agreement.outcomes:tampa Bay Estuary Program - Outputs and Deliverables - Geo-referenced Database With Data for Nine Coastal Habitat Monitoring Locations. Plans and Permits for Habitat Restoration Projects. Non-forested and Forested Freshwater Wetland Restoration. Report Providing 1) Benthic (in Case of Oyster Restoration), Vegetation and Soil Characteristics of a Series of Habitat Restoration Projects Implemented in Tampa Bay; 2) as Needed, Recommendations for Adaptive Management and Lessons Learned From These Projects; 3) as Appropriate, Alignment of Monitoring Practices With Regional and National Efforts. Report Providing Information on Existing Oyster Restoration Projects Within Tampa Bay and, as Needed, Suggestions to Improve Projects Going Forward. Milestones: Habitat Master Plan Update Report (completed 2020). Citizens With the State of Florida and Estuary Directly Benefit From This Project.
