This Cooperative Agreement Will Provide Funding to Baker Technical Institute to Clean Up the Historic Central Building Property, a Brownfield Site in the Broadway Corridor of Baker City, Oregon. Used as a School From 1917 to 2009, the Building Is Now Mostly Vacant. Hazardous Materials to Be Cleaned Up Include Asbestos and Lead-based Paint. the Redevelopment Will Create Space for Various Community Amenities. Brownfields Are Real Property, the Expansion, Development or Reuse of Which May Be Complicated by the Presence or Potential Presence of a Hazardous Substance, Pollutant, or Contaminant. Epa Has Conditionally Approved the Workplan. the Recipient Shall Submit a Final Revised Work Plan and Budget Narrative Detail Within 45 Days of Receipt of This Agreement.
