This Project Focuses on 1,200 Students, 40 Teachers and Local Community Members to Foster Science Literacy About Water Resources and Develop Water Quality and Quantity Consciousness in the Palouse Region of Washington State. Place-based Curricula Will Be Used for Hands-on, Inquiry Driven Programming Focused on Identifying, Informing, and Engaging Them in Small Tributary Watersheds. Programming Will Take Place in Formal and Non-formal Rural and Urban Settings, Applying Community-focused Stewardship as a Teaching Strategy With an Emphasis on Engineering and Technology.
