This Agreement Will Provide Assistance to the Louisiana Regional Planning Commission (RPC), in Its Efforts to Reduce Diesel Emission Reduction and Exposure in the State of Louisiana, Tangipahoa Parish, in the City of Hammond. PRC Will Work With C & S Wholesale Grocers Seeks to Replace 19 Diesel-powered Transport Refrigeration Units (TRUS) With Fully Electric Alternatives, Powered Entirely by the Grid and Solar Electricity at Their Distribution Center Located in Epa Region 6. This Project Will Impact a Goods Movement at a Distribution Center Near One of the Nation's Heavily Traveled Major Interstate Highways (I-55 From Laplace, La to Chicago, Il) as Well as One of Louisiana's Heavily Traveled Major Interstate Highways (I-12). It Is Anticipated That This Project Will Save Over 77,672 Gallons of Diesel Fuel Per Year and Reduce Annually 2.725 Tons Per Year (TPY) of PM2.5, 7.485 Tpy of Nox, and 14.112 Tpy of Co Emissions. This Project Will Have an Anticipated Improvement in Regional Air Quality and Increased Public Health Benefits. This Project Will Reduce Emissions of Diesel Particulate Matter (PM2.5) and Other Pollutants Such as Nitrogen Oxides (nox), Carbon Monoxide (co), Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Hydrocarbons (HC) and Other Pollutant Sources.
