The Proposed Project Will Support Closing the Digital Equity Gap and the Development of a Statewide Digital Equity Plan.the Proposed Project Includes the Following Activities to Support Plan Development: Outreach Will Include Small Group Meetings With Stakeholders, Organizations Representative of Covered Populations, Communities and Individual Representatives of Those Populations and Outreach Through Multiple Platforms, Including Small Public Listening Sessions, Newsletters, Newspaper, and Local Entity Distribution Systems; Creation of an Asset Inventory of Digital Equity Programs Across the State and Measure Current Organizational Capacity for Digital Equity Programs; Conduct Design, Fielding, and Analysis of a Covered Population Survey for Needs Assessment and Barriers Analysis; Develop Measurable Digital Equity Objectives Across the Covered Populations That Will Be Provided for Review to Key Stakeholders Across the State for Input and Feedback; an Analysis of the Impact of Digital Equity on Alabama's Outcomes for Economic Development, Education, Health, Civic and Social Engagement, and Delivery of Essential Services. the Proposed Project Will Result in the Development of a Robust State Digital Equity Plan That Will Benefit the State of Alabama and Principally Unserved and Underserved Covered Populations Statewide. the Recipient Does Not Plan to Subaward Funds.
