Description:this Agreement Provides Funding to York Sewer District to Implement Its Project to Optimize Key Areas of the York Sewer District WWTF, Such as the Screening Headworks Equipment and the Plant's Aeration System, to Ensure Continued Reliable Operation and Compliance With Permit Requirements Set Forth in the Mepdes Permit, and Readiness for Future Regulatory Limits on Nitrogen as Directed in the 2024 Consolidated Appropriations Act or as Identified in an Approved Technical Correction If One Has Been Approved for This Project.activities:the Activities to Be Performed Include the Execution and Implementation of a York Sewer District for Wastewater Treatment Facility Improvements Project. Workplan Activities Consist of: the Optimizations for the Headworks Will Focus on Influent Screen Replacements, Evaluating Screening Technologies and Logistics for Implementation. Specifically Center Flow Line Mesh and Continuous Band Screening Technologies Will Be Explored. the Current Influent Screen Has a Maximum Capacity of 7.5 MGD and Bar Spacing of 1/4-INCH. the Optimizations for the Aeration System Will Focus on Blower Replacement and Tank Modifications. an Analysis of the Blower and Controls Will Be Done to Determine the Appropriate Size and Selection of Blowers. in Addition, a Feasibility Study for Converting the Tanks to a Modified Ludzack-ettinger (MLE) Process for Improved Nitrogen Removal Will Be Performed. the Aeration System Has Six Tanks, Each With a Dissolved Oxygen Analyzer. Subrecipient:no Subawards Are Included in This Assistance Agreement.outcomes:the Anticipated Deliverables Include the Basis of Designs for the Headworks Screening Equipment and Aeration Tanks. Each Alternative Will Be Evaluated With a Focus on Minimizing Impacts to the Treatment Process. the Selected Alternatives Will Prioritize Efficiency, Reliability, and Compliance. the Basis of Designs Will Be Completed December 2025. the Expected Outcomes Include the Optimizations to the Ysd WWTF Will Ensure Compliance With Regulatory Limits and Future Regulatory Limits on Nitrogen. the Intended Beneficiaries Include the People of York Sewer District.
